Safetynet is mainly about account security, but also covers some Internet Safety issues.
One issue is online predators. Please remember that you don't know who you are talking to online. They might say they are a 14 year old female, but could be a 56 year old male or female predator.
One image that illustrates this is below

Please be very careful what information and photos you give to strangers. It is not a good idea to give out your personal information online.
At your option, you can hide your email address in your profile by going to the Modify Profile page.
If any member receives inappropriate PM's, you should report it at once to any staff member, it will be treated in confidence.
Meet ups Although these can be good for a site to organise, or for individual members, care must be taken. We shouldn't have to remind you that the person on the other end is a stranger, you don't know their background, common sense says don't do it.
If you decide to arrange a meeting, it should be somewhere public, and you should not go alone, let others at home know your plans and stick to them, phone home if plans change. Remember that CCTV has it's uses, so a mall etc could be good.
It might be a good idea (if there's a journey to be made) not to reveal exact details of your journey, only a meeting time and place.
